The very first thought that went through my mind today upon reading the Mariners had dealt starting pitcher Carlos Silva to the Chicago Cubs for left fielder Milton Bradley:
Wow! And that's a "Wow!" of awe and jubilation. Like most Mariners' fans, I've been hating Silva’s $48 million contract ever since it was signed.
And, as miserably as Silva has failed, I didn't think it would be possible to find a team willing to take on the salary.
