The Washington Nationals' reassignment of starting pitcher John Lannan to the minor league came as quite a surprise, but it looks like the Chicago Cubs are looking to take advantage. According to the Gordon Wittenmyer of the Sun Times, the Cubs inquired about Lannan, who requested a trade after being sent down.
